What is Unschooling?

You will get all kinds of definition and interpretations but the most common thread that unschoolers will agree on is child led learning. From my point of view it really does mean your child is in charge of his or her learning. If they have an interest in hockey- you read about hockey- make a hockey stick figure out how a zamboni works, etc. Job as “teacher” is more to facilitate learning (read: chauffeur). To suggest and expose and then run with something if they are eager to pursue or learn more.

Is Unschooling Legal?

I am in Canada and where I live homeschooling is completely legal.
